We Recommend . . .

Studio 180 is delighted to have been selected to be a part of the Ontario Arts Council’s Theatre Creators’ Reserve program for the seventh consecutive year. It’s a program that allows us to recommend projects for funding that speak specifically to our mandate and provides an opportunity to form relationships with like minded artists toiling to share their stories with a wider audience.

It seems fitting that the news of our renewed involvement in the program comes as one of our past recommendations is receiving a high profile premiere. Pamela Sinha’s The Happy Place was a kernel of an idea when we recommended it to the OAC in 2012 and has now begun previews as part of Soulpepper’s 2015/16 season. As we look forward to the inevitable deluge of submissions for this year’s program we wanted to take a moment to let you know a little more about the work that garnered our stamp of approval in 2014/15.
