Hal Jackman Foundation supports Studio 180 through Arts Recovery Fund
On May 25, 2020, the Hal Jackman Foundation committed $1 million to support arts organizations impacted by the economic fallout of the COVID-19 pandemic. Studio 180 Theatre was chosen by the board of the foundation to be one of the 80 arts organizations to receive support. Administered by the Toronto Arts Foundation, the donation provides unrestricted operational funding for small and mid-sized arts organizations that may not have the working capital or support systems in place to sustain them through this crisis. The aim is to assist these organizations offset lost revenue, stabilize their operations, and respond to emerging needs.
Studio 180 Theatre is deeply grateful for the support of the Hal Jackman Foundation and the Toronto Arts Foundation, and commend them on this significant gift to support and sustain the arts ecology of Toronto.
