On April 15 & 16, Studio 180 Co-Presents JOE PAPP IN FIVE ACTS at TJFF

We’re proud to be partnering with the Toronto Jewish Film Festival to co-present the Canadian Premiere of this documentary about Joe Papp, founder of The Public Theater and the New York Shakespeare Festival. Papp is responsible for bringing to the stage the first ever production of The Normal Heart, which opened in New York on April 21, 1985, and ran for 294 performances – the Public’s longest-running play to date. Studio 180’s Artistic Director, Joel Greenberg, will introduce the film and moderate a post-screening Q&A with the filmmakers.

On February 25, Studio 180 Celebrated Its 10th Anniversary

Our team, a company of over 50 Studio 180 alumni, and more than 400 supporters came together for this very special one-night-only event featuring the play that started it all. Many thanks to those who came out to show their support, to the friends and colleagues who extended their congratulations and kudos, and to the many Board members, producing partners, funders, artists, volunteers, staff and audience members who have made our 10-year history possible.
